21 adolescents and 28 school goers are attending the current Adolescent Development Programmes (ADP) which began in August.

This has included a successful Team Building Camp in September and life skills workshops covering themes such as “Self Awareness”, “History”, “Family values” and also basic firefighting training . Our
Aftercare Programme provides ongoing support to the graduates and we are delighted to announce that 86% of the previous course’s graduates have found jobs, accessed training, or returned to school.
The Sibanye Youth Club is thriving with 68 members participating in a very strong choir led by Sanele Krisha and the amazing Kronendal Music Academy wind group. Among its many community projects were: special woman’s month events (in August), a Heritage Day event and performances at the Hout Bay Food Market.

James House was very proud that Lulama Mahanjana, a Life Centre graduate and active youth club member, made history by representing South Africa in the Street Soccer World Cup in Paris in September.
