The Hangberg Safe Park opened in July to provide a safe place with adult supervision after school for the many vulnerable children who live in Hangberg, the area above the harbour . James House provides organized games and sports, advice on health and nutrition and most importantly a meal. It was aimed at 40 children but is so successful that it has already grown to 100 regular attendees. The initiative is building trust within the community and it is hoped to eventually offer the full Isibindi services to needy families. |
