The Gogo Project

The Gogo Project was launched in February 2010 to support grandmothers who care for orphans. Ten grannies meet twice a week and participate in life skills and arts and crafts programmes. These activities include training in childcare and childrens' rights, HIV/Aids, health and hygiene and budgeting. The arts and crafts include sewing, beading, knitting and beadwork projects. We soon hope to convert the crafts projects into income-generating opportunities for the grannies.
